Liebe Freund*innen des Kiosk24, liebe Kunstinteressierte, sehr geehrte Damen und Herren,
als letzte Kunstpräsentation des Jahres 2017 hat die Künstlerin Susanne Albrecht die Rauminstallation BUTTERMILCHWAND realisiert und stellt nun bereits zum vierten Mal im Kiosk24 aus. Das gibt auch Gelegenheit für einen kurzen Rückblick:
2003 Organisierte Form mit dieser Rauminstallation von Susanne Albrecht beginnt die Nutzung des Schaufensterraums als künstlerischer Projektraum unter der Leitung des Museums Marta Herford. Der Raum wird KAPELLE genannt und bis 2006 als Außenschaufläche des Museums (Kathedrale) genutzt. ,2006 übernehmen Oliver Schübbe , Paulo Frank Boer und Susanne Albrecht die Leitung des Raums, der nun den Namen KIOSK24 erhält 2008 Neu Einrichten, Skulptur von Susanne Albrecht. Sie übernimmt die Leitung vom KIOSK24 ab jetzt alleine.

Und nun folgt die Einladung zur aktuellen Ausstellung:
BUTTERMILCHWAND oder der kurze Moment morgendlichen Erwachens, noch vor dem Fühlen, Sehen, Denken, Planen, Machen……,
Installation von Susanne Albrecht
Buttermilchscheiben filtern das Licht, Buttermilchionen füllen die Luft und sinken auf das Geflecht aus Ziegeldraht auf dem Fußboden, durch das von unten weißes Licht schimmert. Die Rauminstallation stellt einen Zustand dar, der wohl kaum subjektiver sein könnte und kommt doch ohne Narration aus. Die genutzten Materialien sind alltäglich und stammen aus Küche und Bauhandwerk. Buttermilch auf der Glasscheibe erscheint wie dünnes Seidenpapier und Draht auf dem Boden wie ein archaischer Teppich. Die Raster auf Wänden und Boden geben Struktur und Halt ohne zu begrenzen.
Susanne Albrecht schreibt über die Installation: „Die Idee für diese Arbeit kam mir tatsächlich morgens um 4 Uhr und aufgeregt ging ich im Dunkeln in mein Atelier, um zu beginnen. Schnell fand ich die Materialien für die Umsetzung, weil ich während des Sommers mit Lehm, Lehmputz und Ziegeldraht gearbeitet hatte und auf diese Erfahrungen zurückgreifen konnte. Während der Arbeit im Ausstellungsraum entwickelt sich die Stimmung Schritt für Schritt. Das Bestreichen der Glaswände schafft einen geschützten Innenraum und verändert das einfallende Licht. Obwohl es richtig kalt ist, scheint die Raumtemperatur zu steigen. Das Auslegen des Ziegeldrahtes macht den Boden durchlässig und schafft Weite.“ Und weiter:“ Ich glaube diese Arbeit funktioniert vor allem beim Betreten des Raums. Aber auch von außen betrachtet, scheinen mir die Besucher*innen begreifen zu können, dass es sich ganz und gar nicht um einen leeren Raum handelt.“ Und noch mehr: „Dieser Raum ist ein Glücksfall und ich danke der Architektin/dem Architekten, dass er/sie diesen funktionslos erscheinenden Raum vor Jahrzehnten geschaffen hat. Und ich danke der Recyclingbörse Herford, dass sie ihn seit 2003 für Kunstpräsentationen zur Verfügung stellt und die künstlerischen Arbeiten unterstützt.“

NEW FROM KIOSK 24, INFORMATION; REVIEW AND INVITATION!
Dear friends of Kiosk24, dear art lovers/inthusiasts, ladies and gentlemen,
For the last art presentation of the year 2017, the artist Susanne Albrecht has created the installation BUTTERMILCHWAND (BUTTERMILKWALL) which is the third time she exhibits in the Kiosk24.
This also gives an opportunity for a brief review:
2003 Organized form ,with this spatial installation Susanne Albrecht started to use the KIOSK24 showroom as an artistic project space under the direction of the Museum Marta Herford. The room was first called CHAPEL and was used until 2006 as an external space of the museum (cathedral). 2006 Oliver Schübbe, Paulo Frank Boer and Susanne Albrecht took over the management of the room, which was then called KIOSK24
2008 New furnishing, sculpture by Susanne Albrecht. She now takes over the management of KIOSK24 alone.

Buttermilk slices filter the light, buttermilk ions fill the air and sink onto the braid of brick wire on the floor, through which white light shimmers from below. The room installation represents a state that could hardly be more subjective and yet comes without narration. The materials used are commonplace and come from the kitchen and the building trade. Buttermilk on the glass pane appears like thin tissue paper and the wire on the floor like an archaic rug. The grid on the walls and floor give structure and hold without limiting.
Susanne Albrecht writes about the installation: “The idea for this work actually came to me at 4 in the morning and excitedly I went straight to my studio in the dark to get started. Quickly I found the materials for the implementation, because I had worked during the summer with clay, plaster and tile wire and could fall back on these experiences. During the work in the exhibition space, the mood developed step by step. The painting of the glass walls creates a protected interior and changes the incident light. Although it is really cold, the room temperature seems to rise. The laying of the tile wire makes the floor permeable and creates space. “And furthermore:” I think this installation works especially when entering the room. But also from the outside, the visitors seem to understand that it is not an empty space at all. “And in addition:” This room is a stroke of luck and I thank the architect that he / she created this seemingly functionless space decades ago. And a big thank you to the Recyclingbörse Herford for providing this space for art presentations since 2003 and supporting artistic work. “
